TransLogistica conference: Global Transit Organisation commits to develop Central European Logistics Hubs.

Mr. Marek Retelski, GTO's Senior Policy Advisor, attended TransLogistica, the largest logistics exhibiion and conference in the region and presented GTO'solutions to further improve the role of Romania as a fast-emerging logitics hub, with a unique geographic location bridging Western EU, Turkey, the Middle East and CIS regions.

In the plenary conference of TransLogistica, high-level speakers from the Romanian Government; Chamber of Commerce, Port of Constanta and the logistics sectors joined GTO to highlight the favourable business climate for logistics in Romania, but noted the need for intermodal solutions and fast development of road, rail and port infrastructure.

Mr. Retelski presented various concrete GTO projects to facilitate trade for operators, including competitive Eurasian e-customs guaranteees, new Ro-Ro routes, legal representation in EU to comply with legislations such as "Loi Macron" and "Milog", as well as the current work of GTO in the "cartel case", an large international legal action for hauliers to recover overpaid sums from EU truck manufactuiers, further to recent major fines by the European Commission.
