On May 10th 2018, in Moscow, the Head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia (FCS), Mr. Vladimir Bulavin, and the president of the Eurasian Guarantors Association "GARANT" Mr. Yevgeny Antonov signed an important agreement on cooperation between the two organisations.
The main objectives of the agreement are :
- interaction of the parties to create unified guarantee mechanisms used for the placement of goods under the procedure of customs transit.
- assistance in the transition to electronic declaration of goods.
- reduction of the deadlines for providing customs authorities with payment of customs fees in the form of a guarantee.
GTO, as one of the first partners of the Eurasian Garantors Association, through a formal Partnership Agreement signed in the end of 2017, welcomes this important agreement with Russian authorities and will collaborate with the parties to ensure its successful implementation.
