With Ukraine in, GTO now offers competitive e-transit guarantees to 41 Eurasian countries

A series of important agreements have been signed between the Global Transit Organisation (GTO) and UKRTRANSAGENT LLC, to significantly simplify international road transport for Ukrainian and international traders transiting through the large and strategically located Ukrainian customs territory.

Through these agreements, all Ukrainian traders will be able to benefit at the best conditions from the existing GTO network and services, including representation of drivers, insurance and legal assistance, all over EU and Eurasia.

Moreover, international traders transporting goods to/from/through Ukraine can now use the full-range of services from the UKRTRANSAGENT Group, which has been providing customs brokerage services since 2007, on the basis of a license of the Ukrainian State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, handling goods import, export and transit.

Representative offices of UKRTRANSAGENT LLC are located throughout the Ukrainian territory on all the main customs checkpoints. The company strives every day to improve the process of customs services, through modern solutions helping transport operators to save time and money, in close collaboration with the Association of Customs Brokers of Ukraine and the State Fiscal Service.

The General Director of the Global Transit Organisation, Mr. Marek Retelski, stated: “It is very exciting to welcome UKRTRANSAGENT and Ukraine within GTO. Ukraine the second largest country in Europe; it is an innovative country with a huge transit and economic potential. Legitimate Ukrainian traders, in partnership with national transport and customs authorities, have been working hard since many years to allow Ukraine to be one of the leaders in the field of road transport.

The signature of these agreements is particularly timely for GTO as, from now on, traders can directly purchase, through GTO.WORLD, cost-effective e-customs guarantees in 41 European and Central-Asian countries, covering almost entirely European transport flows.

Mr. Retelski added : “Of course, 41 countries connected in just over 6 months since GTO’s creation, with truly dedicated local partners, is very encouraging for our young team. However, we should not and we cannot stop there, as much more regional connectivity is needed by traders, who are now increasingly abandoning time-consuming and costly paper-based transit schemes. Just stay tuned for further updates!
